AFC Makes Waves at Buckhorn Festival
AFC Makes Waves at Buckhorn Festival nature art

AFC President, Jeff Whiting is attending the Buckhorn Fine Art Festival, near Peterborough, Ontario, to talk to visitors about AFC programs and promote the group's mission of supporting the environment through nature-inspired art. He is scheduled to give two lectures. Also exhibiting at the event are no less than 15 AFC members, including Robert Bateman and Michael Dumas - featured in a dramatic Canadian Masters Exhibit- and Kelly Dodge who is giving a lecture about her recent AFC Flag Expedition to the Galapagos.

Kathrin has traveled and studied throughout the world, including the study of French literature, music, and art history in Paris, the Spanish language in Mexico, and the art of traditional gold leafing in Provence, France. In addition to traveling and making art in most of Europe, she has visited India (elephants!), and most recently Southern Africa (elephants and a score of other wonderful subjects). Her current work is focused on the images and conservation of this part of the world.
