Subject: Horned Puffins Dimensions (inches): 12 x 16 Medium: Oil on masonite board Description: During the winter months, Horned Puffins live primarily on the open water of the northern Pacific Ocean and return to nesting grounds along the coast in the summer. Nesting takes place among crevices of cliffs and rocky islands where the female lays only one egg. Both parents share incubating and feeding duties for about 80 days.
This painting was selected for inclusion in 'The Art of Conservation - 2015 Exhibition' which was held in Vancouver BC., Canada in September and was sold at the event.
