Subject: Elephants drinking at Samburu Dimensions (inches): 24 x 36 Medium: oil on canvas - framed Description: We were enjoying an afternoon art workshop with Simon Combes at our Samburu camp right beside the river. As we were listening to Simon, we watched elephants gathering on the opposite river bank. Simon turned around, as his back was to this and said; 'We must take a break! This is too magical to miss.' So we all grabbed our cameras and made sure to make a record of this gorgeous day & how the elephants were enjoying a cool drink. I just had to include the elephant-ravaged trees behind.
