Subject: Cheetah mum and cub on termite mound Dimensions (inches): 20 x 24 Medium: oil on board Description: Cheetah mum and cub on termite mound in the Masai Mara. We saw these two a couple of times on safari in 2004 with Simon Combes. The cub was such a treat. He is the same one as in "Goodness Gracious - Great Balls of Fire!". Often only one cub will survive, if that, in the wild. My good friend Jane Alcorn was the photographer in this case. I didn't realize the photos were hers until I was nearly finished the painting. She is more than happy that I used her photos.
