Description: Immature wood duck seen at Fascieux Creek wetland in the heart of an urban area in Kelowna, BC. This small park delights young and old with viewings of wood ducks, great blue herons (my next painting) and beavers who can all be seen at close range because they are used to humans. We need more opportunities to learn about our neighbours who are members of other species.
