Subject: common merganzers Dimensions (inches): 12 x 24 Medium: water mixable oil on exhibition board Description: The mergansers on Okanagan Lake every year seem like friends or family. It is worrying that they have to combat boats, personal watercraft, dogs and predators to survive. Once I saw a small family swimming with their heads in the water and could only conclude they were looking for lost family members. Usually they dive for food. It was heart-wrenching.
