Subject: ZEBRAS Dimensions (inches): 11 x 15 Medium: CLAY MODEL - WORK IN PROGRESS Description: Stand By Me was sculpted at the Phoenix Wild Life Zoo where I was able to get up close and observe the relationship between the mother and her baby zebra. Unlike in Africa, they did not fleet from the scene but stood there for most of the morning watching me with mild caution. I felt the baby was getting courage from mom but was not yet ready to venture out on his own.
