Subject: Elephant Dimensions (centimeters): 122 x 155 x 3 Medium: Oil Description: This painting is dedicated to Satao2 a 'large tusker' who recently lost his life to poachers. I have been involved for many years with the conservation of wildlife and constantly try to draw attention to wildlife crime. When I heard about this magnificent animal loosing his life I was compelled to do this painting in his honour. I wanted to do a large scale painting to really convey the majesty of this magnificent animal and chose to use oils on stretched canvas.
