Description: In the center of India's most famous tiger sanctuary are several small lakes that draw large numbers of deer and other wildlife to their waters. India is home to the world's largest variety of deer species and these Sambar Deer are Asia's largest. They wade into the shallow lakes to eat the waterplants and the egrets follow them everywhere to catch small insects that are stirred up by the deer.
