Subject: Common Northern Loon Dimensions (inches): 6.5 x 4.5 x 11.5 Medium: Wood Sculpture Description: This work was carved from a single piece of butternut wood. Ivory stain was splashed onto the front of the bird in a random manner leaving the backside to show some 'spots' and some of the original butternut wood and it's beautiful grain. The ivory stain is transparent as well so the images of the grain shows through the stain.
