The Small Cat Conservation Alliance (SCCA) was founded in 1996 to address the conservation needs of small wild cats worldwide. The conservation needs of many small wild cats remain a mystery. SCCA is an alliance because many partners are needed to address these conservation issues worldwide. There is not enough tome for a single individual to investigate all species of small wild cats. The mission of Small Cat Conservation Alliance is to ensure the survival of small wild cats and their natural habitats worldwide. How is this mission achieved? By finding high conservation value populations of the most threatened small wild cats, understanding and mitigating threats to these populations, and then monitoring those populations over the long-term. Small Cat Conservation Alliance has been indicated by AFC members as a potential recipient of donations by participating artists. AFC's Art for ConservationTM program, provides a forum to promote artwork that benefits recognized conservation organizations such as Small Cat Conservation Alliance.
AFC members have voluntarily and independently earmarked a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their artwork to Small Cat Conservation Alliance. AFC's Art for ConservationTM program provides a forum to help promote artwork for sale that includes such a commitment. Each artists's commitment is contingent on the sale of their work and the above estimate is a potential total based on the completion of sale of any original work and/or limited editions. The AFC is not involved in any way with artwork sales transactions, nor does it make any guarantees relating to artist commitments. The AFC takes no commission whatsoever from the sale of artwork under the Art for ConservationTM program, unless explicitly indicated.
