SEO / BirdLife (Spanish Ornithological Society), is the pioneer organization of nature conservation and biodiversity in Spain.
SEO / BirdLife was founded in 1954 with the objective of conserving wild birds and their habitat. This, according to its statutes and in the almost 60 years of uninterrupted activity, SEO / BirdLife works by:
■Keep wild birds and their habitat in Spanish territory and, through BirdLife International, contribute to the conservation of global biodiversity. ■Scientific studies to increase knowledge on wild birds and their habitats, particularly as an indispensable tool for conservation. ■Disseminate public knowledge, appreciation and respect for birds and nature in general. ■Undertake environmental education and teacher training in the subject matter of the above. ■Activities related to international cooperation for development as a key driver for the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity in developing countries. ■Developing programs for environmental volunteers to improve the conservation status of species and natural areas.
SEO / BirdLife is registered as non-profit association of Public Interest. Your Board is confident the daily work in a team of highly qualified and motivated which is structured according to its current organizational structure in various directions and Operational Areas based at its headquarters in Madrid. Opposite is the Executive Director , Asuncion Ruiz. But also, and is one of the main strengths of the organization, SEO / BirdLife has an extensive introduction with its network of local offices and technical offices. This large team is responsible for the development of the Strategic Program quadrennial SEO / BirdLife which includes objectives, goals and actions.
SEO / BirdLife is the representative organization of BirdLife International in Spain, an umbrella association dedicated to the conservation of birds worldwide. SE is the largest global organization for the conservation of birds and nature, which now has representatives in 111 countries and totals approximately 3 million members.

SEO / BirdLife has been indicated by AFC members as a potential recipient of donations by participating artists. AFC's Art for ConservationTM program, provides a forum to promote artwork that benefits recognized conservation organizations such as SEO / BirdLife.
AFC members have voluntarily and independently earmarked a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their artwork to SEO / BirdLife. AFC's Art for ConservationTM program provides a forum to help promote artwork for sale that includes such a commitment. Each artists's commitment is contingent on the sale of their work and the above estimate is a potential total based on the completion of sale of any original work and/or limited editions. The AFC is not involved in any way with artwork sales transactions, nor does it make any guarantees relating to artist commitments. The AFC takes no commission whatsoever from the sale of artwork under the Art for ConservationTM program, unless explicitly indicated.
