  African Conservation Foundation
The African Conservation Foundation is working towards the protection and conservation of Africa's endangered wildlife and their habitats. Founded in 1999, ACF fills a unique niche by creating an Africa-wide network for information exchange and capacity building of conservation efforts in the region.
ACF's mission is to support and link African conservation initiatives, groups and NGOs, with the aim of strengthening their capacity, building partnerships and promoting effective communication and co-ordination of conservation efforts.
Their work is organised around 5 specific goals:

Linking conservation initiatives across the continent, and strengthening the networking capacities of research and conservation groups and NGOs.
Providing training, support and technical assistance for conservation groups and NGOs, particularly grassroots, in Africa.
Offering capacity support for sustainable community projects linked with conservation.
Serving as an educational resource centre for the general public, both within and outside of Africa.
Conducting on-the-ground conservation projects.
Their overall goal is to change the approach of the management and utilization of natural resources to one in which the needs of human development in the region are reconciled with natural resource conservation.

Art for ConservationTM Commitment Goal:
$19,738.25 US.

African Conservation Foundation has been indicated by AFC members as a potential recipient of donations by participating artists. AFC's Art for ConservationTM program, provides a forum to promote artwork that benefits recognized conservation organizations such as African Conservation Foundation.

AFC members have voluntarily and independently earmarked a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their artwork to African Conservation Foundation. AFC's Art for ConservationTM program provides a forum to help promote artwork for sale that includes such a commitment. Each artists's commitment is contingent on the sale of their work and the above estimate is a potential total based on the completion of sale of any original work and/or limited editions. The AFC is not involved in any way with artwork sales transactions, nor does it make any guarantees relating to artist commitments. The AFC takes no commission whatsoever from the sale of artwork under the Art for ConservationTM program, unless explicitly indicated.
