The mission of the AGFF is: To acquire and provide financial support for properties and facilities for conservation education programs, wildlife habitat, and land for game and fish management programs through gifts, donations, bequests and grants; To develop, promote and participate in conservation education programs for educators, students and all other Arkansans; To help assure the future of high quality hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation opportunities in Arkansas; and To support the mission of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. Further they wish to: Grow...the partnerships that are working to conserve Arkansas' natural resources and assure abundant hunting, fishing, watchable wildlife and birding opportunities for future generations of Arkansans. Learn...how the Foundation, Commission and others are expanding educators' and students' knowledge and appreciation for these opportunities. Share...your enthusiasm, your knowledge and your resources. Teach...young people how to fish, hunt and be responsible for our precious natural resources. Watch...in wonder and awe...an elk stepping out near the Buffalo River...a black bear and her cubs in the Ozarks...a largemouth bass striking a topwater lure cast by a novice angler...a duck cupping after hearing a young waterfowler's hail call...a trout rising up in the stream to hit a youngster's first fly...an eagle majestically soaring above it all. Experience...the rich beauty and diversity of Arkansas' natural resources, confident that with the work of the Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation, they will be there for all. |
