Sketching elephants
Friday, September 7, 2007
The purpose of my trip was to produce an artistic record of the Painted Dogs and other wildlife of the area. There were thousands of elephants so they featured quite heavily in my sketches! This is Nyamandhlovu Pan  (waterhole) - a place where you can sit for hours on end watching elephants, buffalo, crocodiles, hippo and numerous antelope. In September and October the waterhole has a never-ending stream of visitors. For the wildlife artist the problem is just deciding what to draw!
